WHAT WILL A GROOMING APPOINTMENT REQUIRE?

 A safe place to park my mobile grooming van. We come to you! 

WHAT IS AN APPOINTMENT ARRIVAL WINDOW?

As we are a mobile service and the fluctuations with traffic in the northern VA area, we offer 90 minute arrival windows for all our appointments. When requesting a booking, Please be available during the entire arrival window to ensure that if we come early or late, we can get started right away.

DO YOU DO NAILS ONLY?

Generally, due to the high cost of gasoline, we do not make mobile visits for nail trims only. However, we do make exceptions and come visit neighborhoods or communities with multiple pets to do nail-only days.  If you're interested in setting up a nail-only community day, or "Neighborhood Nails" just contact us and let us know. Generally the minimum number of pets for neighborhood nails is 4 pets.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MAINTENANCE TRIM AND A DESHEDDING?

Deshedding services generally benefit double coated breeds such as australian shepherds, golden retrievers, german shepherds, and other long haired dogs. Deshedding can be regular (monthly/bimonthly) or seasonal (summer/winter transitions) depending on how much your pet sheds. 


Maintenance trims are intended for pets that are in-between their normally scheduled full furcuts.  This keeps their face, paws,  and silhouette neat and tidy without doing a full body furcut every month.

Some clients that would benefit from Deshedding packages elect to have their pet receive a regular bathing package every 3 weeks instead- this keeps the shedding to a minimum as well as keeps their pets fresh and clean around the house more often. By having a regular bath every 3 weeks, the trapped hair, dirt, dander, oil and bacteria is removed regularly preventing the need for deep deshedding packages.

WHAT'S YOUR SOONEST AVAILABILITY?

We are currently fully booked about 2 to 3 months in advance. All of our clients are regular customers who get their pets groomed between 3 and 8 weeks. New clients can join our waiting list and join our family soon!

DO YOU DO ANAL GLAND EXPRESSION?

Yes, anal gland expression for animals that need it is a regular part of their hygiene routine and is offered as an add-on service when booking grooming packages. Select external-only or internal when choosing your add-on.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SENIOR PETS?

Yes, I have many years of senior pet experience and offer mobile grooming to come to your home to keep your senior pet comfortable. Senior pets benefit the most from mobile grooming as it is less stressful both physically and emotionally on them.

DO YOU GROOM CATS? DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH RARE OR EXOTIC PETS?

Yes, I groom dogs, cats, and have even groomed lizards! If you have a question about your pet, just ask!

CAN I GET MY PET'S FUR DYED OR DECORATED?

Yes, I have non-toxic and pet-safe fur dyes, hair bows, hair clips,  bandanas, acrylic nail caps available, just ask!

HOW MUCH DOES THE GROOMING COST?

In general our mobile grooming prices are set based on general time windows based on a single groomer to facilitate our online booking system. They are listed on our booking page. Weight categories are general approximations and certain pets and breeds may cost more due to the additional time required for specific grooming requests.

WHY DO THE GROOMS TAKE SO LONG?

In general, the default online booking time to groom each pet is so that each pet gets individual quality care and attention; since we come to you, we want to make sure your pet won't get rushed. Your pet will never be kennel or cage dried, left alone, or set aside during the process. Additionally, each booking appointment also accounts for time to  clean and sanitize our mobile salon between clients, so a 3 hour grooming may only actually take 2 to 2.5 hours; but if there is matting, potty accidents, or other issues we will still have time to provide a quality service. Some days we operate with two staff, a groomer and a bather which speeds up the overall process.

CAN MY AGGRESSIVE PET GET GROOMED?

Yes, but please let the groomer know for both your pet and the groomer's safety. Very aggressive pets may require the owner to be  present during the appointment to help restrain your pet.

CAN I REQUEST MY OWN SHAMPOOS OR VETERINARY PRODUCTS BE USED?

Yes! Please provide your products at the beginning of your appointment.
